Enterprise Order
Lifecycle Management

A redesign of order tracking for large procurement projects, where teams follow hundreds of shipments across many stages.

My role
Lead designer, working with the PM. I led all research, user interviews and usability testing.
Key decision
Reorganised the experience around shipments instead of orders, with grouping, search and quick actions for large projects.
Result
Shipped, with very positive feedback from users.
Order tracking
  • Problem

  • Users struggled to connect shipments with their tracking details, key actions were hard to find, and large datasets made navigation slow.
  • Approach

  • Map the full order lifecycle in a system map and service blueprint, then simplify default views while keeping advanced shipment data one step away.

Design process

Design Process Walkthrough
This video demonstrates how I approach complex problems, starting with understanding user needs, exploring workflows, and building scalable solutions that can support future product growth.

Scene 02
Operational Workflow Ecosystem
System map connecting purchase orders, shipment groups, tracking information, delivery states, quantity updates, and project-level visibility.

Scene 03
Shipment Lifecycle Blueprint
Service blueprint illustrating how an order moves from purchase order creation to shipment tracking, delivery, quantity confirmation, and project-level status updates.

Scene 04
Ideation & Exploration
The redesign transformed order tracking into a clearer, shipment-focused experience that improved visibility, simplified operational tasks, and supported large-scale procurement workflows.

Confidentiality Note
This case study does not include all product screens or implementation details due to confidentiality.
It focuses on the design process, key workflows, and decision-making.
